Buzzfeed Editor Says He “Overreacted” When Deleting Articles

The editor of the media site Buzzfeed denies that he deleted two articles in order to satisfy demands by advertisers. Ben Smith says that he removed the articles for editorial reasons and now thinks he “reacted impulsively.”  The articles concerned Dove’s new advertising campaign and Hasbro’s popular game Monopoly.
