Ofcom Says MacKenzie Remark About Scottish First Minister “Justified By the Context”
In spite of nearly eighty complaints it has received concerning a journalist’s offensive comment made about Scotland’s first minister on BBC’s “The Daily Politics Show,” UK regulatory agency Ofcom says it will not further investigate the incident. Ofcom says Kelvin MacKenzie’s remark that Nicola Sturgeon is “the lady who runs Jockestan” was “justified by the context” and did not breach the broadcasting code. More here from the Guardian.
