Peter Thiel, who funded Terry (Hulk Hogan) Bollea’s invasion of privacy lawsuit against media site Gawker, has now put in a bid to purchase the site, which is currently liquidating its  remaining assets.  Mr. Bollea’s successful suit against the site forced it into bankruptcy in 2016.

Gawker’s bankruptcy trustee and attorney are arguing that Mr. Thiel should be ruled ineligible to bid because he could still be involved in litigation concerning the site.  Gawker’s bankruptcy plan administrator, Will Holden, is likely to choose a buyer for Gawker soon.
