WGA Members Okay Three Year Contract With AMPTP

The Writers Guild (WGA) membership has voted to ratify a three year contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). The vote was overwhelmingly in favor of the new deal: 98.5 percent yes to 1.5 no. Provisions in the new contract include higher minimum compensation rates for writers, gains for members’ pensions, and increased residuals for those streamed programs that include ads.
