Berlusconi Guilty of Abuse of Power and Sex With Minor

An Italian court has convicted media tycoon and former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi of abuse of power and of a sex crime and has sentenced him to seven years in prison. Specifically, the judicial panel found that Mr. Berlusconi paid to have sex with a woman under the age of consent. It is the second court loss for Mr. Berlusconi in two months; earlier this year another court upheld his four year sentence for tax evasion. His lawyer says he will appeal.
