Iranian-American Journalist Reported Released
The BBC reports that Iranian-American journalist Roxana Saberi, who was sentenced to eight years in prison for espionage, has been released from an Iranian prison. After a hearing yesterday, the Iranian appellate court reduced the charge against her and suspended the sentence, thus permitting her release. The Court also ordered Ms. Saberi not to work as a journalist in the country for five years. Ms. Saberi is reported to be headed to a reunion with her parents in the city of Teheran.
