Tim Russert Bingo on All Things Considered

NPR’s All Things Considered reports that some clever Harvard grads thought up a new way to pass the time during Tim Russert’s commencement address: they made up some “bingo cards” and crossed off key phrases they expected from him on the theory that he had used them before in other speeches before graduating classes at other universities, and would use them again. Then, they assured reporter Melissa Block, they would shout “Bingo” (but not loudly) when they filled in the appropriate number of squares. Hear the story here. Now, have they violated his rights by copying those phrases onto those cards? Have they violated the Bingo game makers’ rights? Is somebody else getting ready to violate their rights? Should they be getting hold of an IP lawyer and getting the Tim Russert Bingo Game ready for market? Or have I been playing Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon much too long?
