Chinese Journalist Convicted of “Inciting Subversion”; Given Seven Years

Journalist and former professor Zheng Yichun received seven years imprisonment from a Chinese court for “inciting subversion” for writing and publishing online articles for various websites that are not accessible within the country. He is the latest of several journalists to receive such a sentence for publishing material critical of the Chinese government. Read more here in an AP story.
