Federal Judge Allows Release of Executioner Info to Lawyers, Not to Public

The federal judge hearing death row inmate Michael Morales’ appeal against the use of lethal injection as a means of execution has ruled that his attorneys may obtain information about the guards in charge of administering the drugs that lead to death, but Morales’ lawyers may not release that information to anyone else. Judge Jeremy Fogel balanced Morales’ Eighth Amendment rights against other concerns in the protective order he issued earlier this week. Read more here.
