A British Judge on Privacy Law

Dan Tench comments on a British judge’s take on what’s wrong with current UK jurisprudence in privacy law and how to fix it in this piece published today. According to Lord Justice Stephen Sedley, individuals, including celebrities, are entitled to more privacy than they get currently, particularly after a European Court of Human Rights decision in favor of Caroline of Monaco two years ago. His solution is to establish a new regulatory body, to oversee print and other media.
