The “Wrong Man” On BBC

The BBC, wanting to interview an expert after the important Apple Computer vs. Apple Corps verdict was handed down recently, thought it had snagged one when it brought on Guy Kewney. In a sense, it had, but this was Kewney the cab driver, not Kewney, the downloading expert. The cabbie plowed through his interview while the intended interviewee watched on a monitor. Afterward, the network apologized to viewers for the confusion. The Internet expert points out that although the situation was amusing, an audience might also think “he did not know his subject, hurting his reputation.” Read more here.
