British Judge Plans to Ban Press From Upcoming Trial Over Leaked Documents

The judge presiding over the upcoming trial of two former British government employees charged with leaking the contents of documents detailing President Bush’s comments to Prime Minister Tony Blair concerning the Iraq war has decided to exclude the press on the grounds of national security. Bush is alleged to have said that he would like to bomb the headquarters of the TV station al-Jazeera; one of the documents is supposed to support this allegation.
