Rapper Sues Over Advertisement

Rapper 50 Cent is suing the internet advertising firm Traffix over an advertisement that pictures an individual being shot. The celebrity alleges that, although he is not identified in the ad, anyone viewing it would believe the person depicted to be him. He is asking for a permanent injunction and claiming misappropriation under New York state law. The ad is intended to promote one of the firm’s clients’ retail sites. Read more here and here.
