Scholar Files Case With ECHR To Eliminate Turkish Statute on “Denigrating Turkishness”

Taner Akcam, Professor of History, and associated with the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the University of Minnesota, has asked the European Court of Human Rights to declare Article 301 of Turkey’s penal code a violation of of human rights law under the European Convention on Human Rights.
