What’s In a Name? Credibility, Apparently

All right, so the “Blue Peter” presenters (English for “hosts”) have now apologized formally for naming that new cat Socks instead of the viewer choice, Cookie. Konnie Huq and Zoe Salmon (yes, her name really is Salmon) introduced a pretty kitten under the new name. They’ve kept the other cat as well, apparently. Meanwhile the show also has a new boss, Tim Levell. The prior head, Richard Marson, was shown the cat door after this latest viewer deception came to light. The Times Online reports that “We’re sorry” is a steady feature of “Blue Peter’s” repertoire. Read more here.
