FCC Revises Media Ownership Rules

The FCC passed revised media ownership rules today on a 3-2 vote, with the three Republican Commissioners voting in favor and the two Dems voting against the proposal. Companies may now own newspapers and tv or radio stations in the twenty largest markets. Read more here and here. The agency also approved permanent waivers for 42 companies. Read more here.
