The Writers’ Strike Continues

Now that ABC and CBS have invoked the force majeure clauses and terminated deals right and left, Twentieth Century Fox as expected is next. More fallout is expected, even if the Directors Guild and AMPTP reach a deal. The Golden Globes were a bust, the Grammys look very iffy, and the Oscars may be next. Even the WGA’s own awards show may not go on as scheduled. Meanwhile, what’s on TV? More reality shows, some imports from premium cable, and the inevitable constant cable reruns. If you can afford it, invest in DVDs from the shows that you’ve missed, or buy some good books.
