Papers Run Apologies To McCanns Over Suggestions They Were Involved In Madeleine’s Disappearance

Gerry and Kate McCann have won large damages (over a million dollars) and an apology from the Express Newspapers, which had suggested that they were involved in the disappearance of their daughter Madeleine from a Portugeuse vacation spot last year. The Daily Express and the Daily Star ran headlines reading “Sorry” and apologies on their front pages as part of a settlement.
