Website Apologizes, Pays Damages To British Actor Over Story

Website and newsletter Popbitch has admitted that its story about actor Max Beesley, “Maxed out – Beesley makes beeline for beauties,” was untrue. In it, the website asserted that Mr. Beesley tried to recruit three women to have sex with him at a party in Cannes. Mr. Beesley requested a retraction, and then sued for defamation.
