CDA Does Not Bar State Right of Publicity Claim Against Website

A federal district court has refused to grant dismissal of a plaintiff’s claims arising under state right of publicity laws arising from creation of a fake “profile” on a relationship website. Read the ruling here. The case is Doe v. Friendfinder, 2008 DNH 58; 2008 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 25737.
