TMZ Breaks With Tradition, Identifies Alleged Teen Victim of Sex Crime

The celebrity news site TMZ has identified the alleged victim of a sex crime, and posted the young boy’s photograph. TMZ’s Harvey Levin, an attorney, said through a spokesperson, “The story speaks for itself.” TMZ apparently got the information from LAPD. The individual involved is the son of a prominent actor. As a rule, mainstream media do not independently identify alleged victims of sexual abuse, nor do they post their photographs, and they certainly don’t post the info or photos of underaged alleged victims.
