Mars “Snickers” Ad Pulled; Called Anti-Gay

Yet another Mars candy advertisement, this one featuring Mr. T, has been pulled from the airwaves after viewers and lobbyists called it anti-gay. The ad, for Snickers candy bars, shows the tough guy telling a race walker that he is a “disgrace to the man race.” While audiences in the UK apparently have found it unobjectionable, others, particularly in the US, have written to the ad agency which developed it and to the Mars Company complaining about it.
