EU May Block British Subsidy To Channel 4 For Digital Changeover

The EU seems to be opposed to British funding of Channel 4’s move to digital broadcasting. EU Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes apparently told Foreign Secretary David Milband that the network had enough of its own money to pay for the move, so that government aid might be improper. Thus, it might also be unfair to networks that don’t receive the aid. Read more here and here.
