Fight Over King Papers May End Book Deal

FindLaw reports that three of Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King’s children are fighting over the use of the late Mrs. King’s papers, so much so that they’ve now ended up in court. Penguin USA, which had planned to publish a book based on the papers based on a contract with Dexter King, one of the three surviving children of Rev. and Mrs. King, is now suggesting it won’t go ahead with the deal without the papers. The two other children say they did not know about the contract.
