Gunning for Dr. Pepper
Axl Rose doesn’t seem to be a Pepper. He wants an apology, and big bucks to the band for the use of its name in the company’s proposed giveaway of its popular pop, tied to release of the band’s new album, Chinese Democracy. Apparently negotiations over the promotion never quite worked out. The company says the promotion was “a fun giveaway,” tied to the long-awaited release of the album. Here’s what Mr. Rose is reputed to have said about the giveaway back in March.
