Head of Bar Council Says Media Will Face More Invasion of Privacy Lawsuits

A leading British lawyer predicts that individual privacy rights will increase over the coming years. Desmond Browne, the head of the Bar Council, says that just as the media informs those who are likely to be the targets of defamatory publication (in order to allow time to seek an injunction), it may have to begin giving notice to those who are the targets of invasion of privacy as privacy lawsuits increase.
