Nigerian Filmmaker’s Family Threatened

A mob broke into the home of filmmaker Hamisu Lamido, who is serving a sentence for releasing a film that had not been licensed by the appropriate Nigerian film agency, and threatened the safety of Mr. Lamido’s wife and children. The mob eventually left without harming Mrs. Lamido or the children. Mr. Lamido’s lawyers are appealing his sentence. Read more here in a BBC story.
