Gender Bias In the Theater
Harvard doctoral student Emily Glassberg Sands is presenting the results of empirical research that demonstrates that there is perceptable gender bias in the theater, in terms of how artistic directors choose which plays to present. Directors seem to prefer male playwrights to female playwrights, and the directors who do the preferring seem to be female.
