Travolta Extortion Proceeding Ends in Mistrial

The Bahamian judge overseeing the extortion trial of two persons accused of attempting to blackmail John Travolta over events connected with the death of his son Jett has declared a mistrial. Judge Anita Allen announced that she thought someone might have leaked news of the jury’s verdict, based on reports that a local political party had discussed just such a matter. She dismissed the jury and ordered new proceedings. Read more here.
