UK Culture Secretary Hints At More Regulation For Online TV Content

UK Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt says online tv may need more regulation, even if “blanket regulation” is not an option. In a speech at the Oxford Media Convention, Mr. Hunt noted that a new Communications Act may be necessary and asked for a Green Paper on the issue by the end of the year. In addition he is “launching today is an Action Plan for Local Media,” which would encourage the growth of local services.
