Police Arrest New York Times Freelancer During

Freelancer Robert Stolarik was arrested Saturday while covering an arrest in the Bronx. Mr. Stolarik was on assignment for the New York Times along with two reporters when officers, according to Mr. Stolarik, seized his camera, “slammed” it into his face, and then arrested him after telling him to stop taking photos. The department said it had given “lawful orders” for both a crowd that had formed and for the photographer to move away. More here from the Times. The story has coverage from the Guardian here.
