Obama Names Wheeler To Be Next Head of FCC

President Obama has named Tom Wheeler, a venture capitalist and formerly head of the National Cable and Telecommications Association, to be the next Chair of the FCC. Mr. Wheeler is not an attorney, which is a departure from tradition; most FCC Chairs have been lawyers. Some inside the beltway think Mr. Wheeler is a good pick for the post, but some think he will have trouble standing up to the industry.
