British Police Checking To See If Social Media Named Victim Of Sexual Offense In Violation Of Statute

British law enforcement officers are examining whether social media site users broke the law by naming the victim of a sexual offense after the defendant in her case was convicted. British law prohibits naming the victim in perpetuity (Sexual Offences Act, 1992). More here from the Guardian.
