TIme Warner, CBS Agree To Allow Broadcast of NY City Comptroller Debates
As during medieval times, when warfare was temporarily suspended on holy days, the fee battle between Time Warner and CBS will be temporarily on hold so that New York subscribers can watch a debate among the candidates for city comptrollers, one of whom is Eliot Spitzer. If the Time Warner/CBS argument continues, the two powerhouses have agreed to allow broadcast of mayoral debates as well when those come up later in the year. More here from the Hollywood Reporter.
