Two Writers Depart DC, Leaving “Batwoman” Behind

Batwoman’s co-authors J. H. Williams and W. Haden Blackman have announced via a blogpost (unavailable 9/5/2013 due to maintenance issues) that they are parting ways with DC Comics, due to creative differences (more here from The Hollywood Reporter).  The writers note that they understand that “as much as we love the character, Batwoman ultimately belongs to DC.” Among the differences is a disagreement over plans to have Batwoman (Kate Kane) come out as gay.
