Federal Judge Finds NSA Collection of Domestic Phone Info Violates Privacy Law

U. S. District Court Judge Richard Leon has ruled that the NSA program under which the agency collects metadata consisting of the phone records of US citizens is “an apparent violation of privacy rights,” according to this account from CNN. Judge Leon has stayed his order so that the Administration can appeal.
