EU Examining Hollywood Deals With Pay TV Providers

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the European Commission is looking into licensing deals that govern how film studios distribute and price their products across the 28 member states of the EU in accordance with pay TV. Right now, the studios offer their products at differing rates and exclusively within the operator’s territory. The Commission will be examining whether these deals violate EU antitrust laws.
