Closer magazine says it will eliminate a sensational story about President Francois Hollande’s purported affair with actress Julie Gayet after tremendous backlash, both from across the political spectrum and from Ms. Gayet’s attorney. Most individuals who commented said they thought Mr. Hollande had the right to privacy even if the story were true.
