Britain’s Channel 4 accompanied its report on the death of actor/comedian Robin Williams with a clip from the film Good Morning, Vietnam in which the character Mr. Williams played says “Why don’t they get a rope and hang me?” After some intense criticism for the choice of that clip, the network has now apologized, acknowledging that the selection was “unfortunate,” and that Channel 4 intended to honor the late actor.
