UK Politician Supports More Protections For Media Who Seek Out Stories In the Public Interest
Nick Clegg, head of the UK’s Liberal Democratic party, advocates a “public interest” defense for the media, which would include allowing journalists to pursue stories even if they broke laws such as those prohibiting bribery or misue of data.
