Bankruptcy Trustee Sues Weinstein Company

From the Hollywood Reporter: the trustee for Genius Products (also called Genius Entertainment), now in bankruptcy, has sued the Weinstein Company (TWC) for more than $130 million, alleging that TWC diverted substantial assets from Genius, ultimately causing Genius’ failure. Alan Friedman, representing the Weinstein Company, responded that the arrangement between the companies was fair and that TWC lost millions of dollars in dealings with Genius.  TWC set up Genius Products in 2005.
