Reporter and Photographer Shot and Killed On Air

Local law enforcement and the FBI are searching for Vester Flanagan (or the spelling may be Flanigan) known on air as Bryce Williams, a former employee at WDBJ, a tv station in Virginia, who is believed to have shot two WDBJ journalists as they were conducting an interview at a local waterpark.  The journalists, Alison Parker and Adam Ward, have died, and the interviewee, a member of the local Chamber of Commerce, is in surgery. Mr. Ward, the cameraman, caught the shooting on camera.

Mr. Flanagan also seems to have posted video of the shooting on his Twitter account.  

At this point, Twitter seems to have shut down Mr. Flanagan’s account. However, screen shots of some of his tweets are still available.

CNN is reporting that law enforcement has confronted Mr. Flanagan and he has attempted suicide. CNN on-air coverage here.
