A Washington appellate court has okayed the release of surveillance footage that shows a student at Seattle Pacific University intervening to disarm a shooter who shot and killed one student and injured two others in a 2014 incident at the school. Families of the victims and attorneys for the university  had sought to prevent release of the video, but news outlets argued that it should be public information under the state’s public records act.
