A district court judge has dismissed a Philadelphia police officer’s defamation and false light claims against the group Injustice Watch, ruling that the group’s placement of the officer’s Facebook comment in a database compiling LEOs’ comments “important public issues” were opinion. The judge also noted that the officer, D. F. Pace, had failed to plead actual malice. The case is Pace v. Baker White, Civil Action NO. 19-4827 (U. S.E.D. PA).
